    Holy crap.. I just rang another place up here - Michelin Pilot Sport 3 - $534 a tyre.

    Looks like Tirerack may be the way to go.

    Great tyre. Quiet even with rock hard coilovers. Plus very good wet performance as this was a family car.

    Got the PS3's 235/40/18 for $220 per corner balanced and fitted all up by Sandy

    P/S Sandy remembers you as the guy with the "Special Car" lol

    I'm glad she remembers me that way and not "the guy who watched them like a hawk while they were working and who's car gave them grief on the hoist because it was so low"

    Ok, just did an eBay search for tyres for a Gen1 - 215/45/18.

    +1 Proxes4 are terrible.

    I don't like Toyo's either, had some T1R's, went out of round... thud thud thud rather annoying really.

    I included them for comparison... plus I'd only go Toyos for track purposes.
