Thread: GT3071R Big Turbo

  1. #1

    Default GT3071R Big Turbo

    Item: GT3071R
    Location: Parramatta NSW
    Item Condition: Used
Reason for selling: Upgraded to GTX
    Price and price conditions: [S]$650[/S]$550
Extra Info: so as some of you may be aware i have upgraded my BT from the GT3071 to the GTX3071 and so here is my old turbo for sale!
i have taken the compressor housing off along with the wastegate to show pictures of it and at the same time given everything a clean. at the time of taking the turbo out it was in pretty good shape - was on for a total of about 25000kms and since then has made me about 235kw at all four wheels quite reliably at a steady 19PSI (see my ride thread)
Note this turbo has always been abit loud in operation - i have posted a video of me spinning the exhaust side fins to show you what i mean. it has always been like this since taking possession of it and hasn't changed since.
NOTE: I am only selling the Core + Compressor + Wastegate actuator and spring housing of this turbo ONLY, you will need to acquire an exhaust housing or machine the OEM one out to suit this turbo if your going to use it.

    extra flow...
the GTX3071 basically gives you a GT3076 top end, with a GT3071 spool time... else they're pretty much the same
unless you go extra injectors, this is more than enough turbo for the car

The ability for this to be a bolt on depends on the rear housing , for example if you were to get this:
ATP Turbo External Wastegate Housing EWG Mazdaspeed 3 6 MS3 MS6

then yes straight bolt on - but if you were to get the generic V band rear housing (cheaper price since its not vehical specific) then you will need a custom downpipe to be made up.

can you reuse the factory oil and coolant lines? or do you have to buy new fittings and lines.

If your machined out the OEM exhaust housing all you will need to change is the (i think) water return line at the top.
