Hey guys,
I want to try the 'bnoon bolt' to try and reduce my smoking at idle but don't have a drill press and all that jazz. Is anyone willing to make one for me?

Thanks,
Darren.

I bought this one off ebay > Banjo Bolt Mazdaspeed 3 6 Restrictor Exhaust smoke | eBay
BNOON says however that the small hole on these bolts is too small (might cause oil starvation?). I simply put mine in a vice and drilled out the small hole with a 1/16 inch drill which is slightly larger. This is effectively identical to the BNOON bolt. I run this and have not seen any issues. I also didn't have a drill press just used a cordless drill with a small vice. Easy peasy.

No, the only issue is with the smaller hole which is down the centre shaft that's slightly too small. When you drill out the 1.5mm with 1/16 inch it only laps a small amount of metal out of the hole and it takes a second to do literally. Making sure you use a sharp drill of course...
edit... I just realized I messed up my original post and said 1/4 inch duh. I mean 1/16 inch...

Ended up just getting a JBR one cheers!
I was looking on his site for them but couldn't find them. Did you email him regarding those?
Yep shoot him an email
Hey guys
Captain thread revival here.
In the last week or so i've noticed the dreaded smokey turbo issue appearing on my 6. I've raised the idle and after a lot of research decided to try the "bnoon bolt" fix. Bnoon doesn't seem to be selling these anymore so I grabbed one from Ebay
Mazda 3 5 6 CX7 CX9 K0422 Turbo OIL Feed Banjo Bolt Prevent Smoke | eBay
I received it today. I'm a bit concerned over the size of the centre hole... it looks to be much smaller than the pictures i've seen online. also, the side hole goes all the way through, whereas the bnoon bolt only has one.
I know I can't expect anyone to say that this is the right bolt and to go ahead with the info i've given, i'm just asking for your educated opinion on whether it looks safe enough from the picture. Worst case is I kill the turbo and have to upgrade?

EDIT: Never mind, found this. http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...r-bolt-123152/
Going to drill it out to the specs mentioned in the thread.

BT-50 yeah i know your impressed
The turbo is prob to far gone, as far as the oil supply orifice being restricted I would suggest a SpeedFlow custom oil hose, can insert a restrictor that is removable based on what turbo you run and allows for any other turbo to be fitted without massive changes if you do so.
