Default How to remove Gen 2 exhaust tips ?

    Noob question

Is it possible to remove the exhaust tips from a Gen 2 (2010) ? It looks like it may almost slide off the tail pipes ? I've tried to pull them off without luck.

The guy who changed them out just cut them off. The tip cover seems to be welded on the original exhaust

Bugger... I was hoping to just slide them off somehow. I found some nice tips to replace mine with.

You can drill or grind the spotwelds off.

yeah they'll be a tak weld (or two) somewhere at the back. you may need to remove the rear muffler section to access them. 15 seconds with an angle grinder, and they'll slide off. i have no experience with MPS exhaust tips, but most modern cars with tips are like this.
