Thread: Compatibility of 235/40 tires on stock Gen 2 MPS

Default Compatibility of 235/40 tires on stock Gen 2 MPS

    Hi All

I've done some searches around the forum but couldn't find a definite answer as other MPS' are either lowered or guards rolled.

I'm looking to get wider tyres for all four wheels on my stock Gen 2 MPS without any guard rolling.

Will 235/40 fit on the stock 18x7.5" (not sure of the offset) wheels without rubbing (car is at stock height)? Any experiences?

    Thanks

Shouldnt need to roll guards at stock height, 235 on 7.5" rim will have some stretch...
If lowering you will probably need to roll at some stage

They will fit. 235's on the 7.5" rim will bulge a little but they will fit the rim, and will also fit under the guards.

I have a set of 235's, have lowered suspension and they fit just fine.

Reedy explained this better, the tyre will bulge over the edge of the rim very slightly

    I'm running 19"/8" Rims
Sitting on 245/40 Front and 225/45 rear

    No rubbing

Why 245s on the front and 225s on the rear? Other than the grip benefits or it that the sole reason.

Cool. A great way to prevent scratches to the wheel!
