So.... Whats the solution? .. i've wondered about this for awhile now because my mate has a cx-7 which has the screen that looks exactly like the gen 2, the reverse camera on that is great! Always wondered why we never got that as an option or something..

This is made for Mazda 3 (not for Neo & Maxx) by after market specialists.
It works same as CX-7 but has much better quality with fast response + cheap costs ($299.00 including installation)

By the looks of things, you are a rep for this product.

Do you have more info on the standalone kit?

    Without the install?

Really interested in this product. What are the specs of the rear camera (e.g. viewing angles, etc). Where is this mounted and where does the cable route (top of roof or down the side of the door sills?)

I have a friend who is an special installer for Nav and Multimedia players throughout most of cars in Aus. He and I thought why there is no reverse camera device for Mazda 3 having genuine LCD screen even though CX-7 has it. Therefore, he asked his head office in order to develop this specified main board for rear view.
This is the first time to commence it in the world. It will be released throughout most of dealers that will cost more, I guess.
Anyhow, my camera was installed by specialist and it is working perfectly. They mounted the main board on LCD screen and made a cable line side of car.
The camera is a Sony CCD which is much brighter at night view without light.
I guarantee the quality of view because genuine LCD screen has also high quality and small enough.
There is no way to install it yourself without specialised main board.
Please ask me, I would be able to explain as much as I can.
I am very happy and proud of it because it is unique.

    Cheers

    Any installers in Brisbane?

    Not really.
Because it has been released for 1 week. Probably, this kit would be sold by dealers later on. Still on discussion with Mazda dealers.

So just to confirm, this is not a bolt on & requires soldering?

Which involves a modification to the stock LCD as well as a addition of a rear camera?

I'm interested, but i would like to know where i stand with warranty.

Can we get a pic of where the camera is mounted also?

    Thanks.

Opps Sorry I should have told. It has 1 year free warranty.

There is no soldering at all. They just add the main board behind LCD board.
Sorry guys I do not have pictures for the specialised board for this kit.
I will update as soon as possible.

Agree with that mate, same here, very keen. I am a very mechanical minded person, did all my Gauge installations, injector and fuel pump change overs on me Evo by myself....I doubt that it will be that difficult.

Hope we can get things kicked off this side mate!
