AUX issues in a Mazda 3 Mps MY08

Hey guys,
First post new Mazda owner

I have searched this issue and I can't seem to find any solutions to my problems

I bought a brand new belkin aux cable also and I can't get anything to come up on my head unit (standard Bose) to show about AUX I have hit the media Button, nothing happens, tried mode on the steering wheel and still nothing it just rotates thru the other audio sources
Anyone have any solutions?

Also my iPod integration cable doesn't work with my iPhone 4s running iOS 6 again any suggestions why?

I believe if you just have an AUX cable you won't get any display on the head unit about whatever media you're playing.

Correct.

Plug in 3.5mm cable to AUX jack in glove box, plug other end into audio player (eg iPhone) and press play. Hit "media" button on stereo and you should hear whatever is playing in your iPhone.


You won't get any display other than that it will say "aux".

Cheers guys, problems is not even Aux is coming up in the display and no music

Any suggestions re the iPhone playing thru the iPod cable

iPod cable would have to be aftermarket so perhaps it's been spliced in to replace the aux jack function. Would make sense, but my guess is as good ad yours.
