Thread: Poll: To White or not to White?

So, I have finished spraying one wheel white (plastidip) to see what it looks like against the VR.

Any feedback for yay or nay? (be honest)

I dont think I will end up plastidipping the rest. Brake dust seems to stick to the material and is hard to clean... so 2pac may be the way to go.

Has anyone seen any other awesome wheel colours that go nicely against the VR?

Ask Duglet. He has white wheels. I personally don't like the look of them.

I had white dipped wheels my 3 and found that the dip itself stained very easily from just normal road muck that left a yellowish sweat stain colour , maybe hit them with a few coats of high gloss clear ? Doesn't seem to effect the removal procedure at all .. I do like the look however

White and red look good, but only if they are gleaming everything.

Whereas, gold and red looks great too, the darker colour, easier to live with.

looks no good to me. just stands out like dogs balls.

the old charcol colour tied into the car better as they matched the headlight and tail light colour for example.

bronze and gold are alway good colours for red cars.

Clear Gloss as in paint?? Wow, never considered that! Has this been done already and peeled off ok afterward?
@SMOKEY , very nice wheels!! Though I think I'll be keeping these ones, they are pretty lightweight, the right sizing, and in perfect condition still. Just feel like a bit of a change of feel.

I think he is referring to the PlastiDip that comes in a clear matte gloss

Yeah I did it on my badges ( both black and then white with blue ontop) and both came off fine, from memory I did about 3 light - med coats over the dip

White makes a good base coat for experimenting with stupid colours, if your like me

I think the white on red looks really good, as long as you keep the white clean.

If its anything like my car your wheel will remain white for about 20 seconds down the road, so my vote goes to dark rims
