I had to pleasure of working on this little lovely this weekend. A 2011 BMW 1M Coupe that the owner wanted to have spruced up and some sealant based paint protection applied
The car didn't present too badly. Some reasonable oxidation and contaminants stuck to the surface from being parked outside all the time. It was particularly bad at the back of the car on top of the bumper
The wheels needed some loving also
Chemical decontamination of the wheels
and some on the paint also starting to work on the contamination
How to make a white car even whiter...... with foam!
Some brush-work for the badges and hard to reach areas
After claying the paint was inspected. A reasonable level of swirling present
Also a little oopsie from going down a narrow laneway
Like VW Golf's and Scirocco's, this BMW has some gloss black sections which it was decided we'd Opticoat for longevity
You can already see some watermarking and swirls appearing
Post correction. Two passes on the rotary using LC CCS Orange and Optimum Polish II. Then one pass on the DA with LC CCS White and Optimum Polish II
Mirror oopsie corrected out and mirror + gloss black areas treated with Opti-Coat
Exhausts looking a little skanky
50/50. Right hand side cleaned up with Autosol + treated with 3M Stainless steel spray protectant
Both sides completed
