Fck it! What's going on???
Dont know Brad, they dont know what is wrong with the car....
Might still be good to check the actual wires of the ECU harness, even though the SRI hasn't rubbed through it still may have crushed a wire inside the harness.
No real news, looking at the Injectors today, so manifold is coming off.
They have checked the electrics, they are certain it is mechanical.

Man that really sux, hope it's sorted soon!
Have a look at the causes list for your P0171 code and the random misfire code P0300.

Well they found out the problem, the clamp on the top of the intake rubbed through the injector wires, unfortunately it would appear the ECU is partly damaged cause Injectors 1 and 4 are not running.
So going to be up for a new ECU I think.
So if you have a SRI check the bolts.

Common problem with the Sri - got to watch that one!
Unfortunate mate, but lesson learnt for others to go check.
Yep can only blame myself really.

Spewing.
Funny how this is one of the first things that we suggested as well!
How much is that gonna cost?
Quite a lot really.
$2.8k Inc all reprogramming with a new ECU or $1.9k with a 2nd hand one from a wrecker.
12 month warranty on new, 3 month on the 2nd hand one.
Thoughts? My feelings are opt for the 2nd hand one, if it doesn't work I assume it would show a problem immediately.

Yea second hand will be fine. As long as the car it came out of didn't have an SRI.
fark me... that's crazy...
Holly shit. So coming outta pocket?? Sucks man! Least ur problem is resolved. R we talking about the looms next to the battery?? Where theres the clamp that clamps the intake to the inlet pipe?
Trying to figure out where the loom is myself, heres some pics of my intake.

The TIP is sandwiched very tightly in between all the components there, no play in it at all. I wonder if that is likely to cause me any problems in the future. The clamps are all where they should be at least.
Thats the spot, for some reason certain intakes were supplied with t-bolt clamps (total overkill for vacuum hoses), which were migrating and rubbing on the ecu loom
Painful expensive man, I feel for you.
Checked mine again tonight - because as has been said - they can move over time.
The t bolt is impossible to do up if you reverse it - just a bad design flaw. Worm drive clamp probably a safer solution as shown in Reedys pic.
