    Cool CEL with CP-e downpipe

    Hi Guys,

Just had my CP-e downpipe fitted and immediatly she threw CEL. THe error code matched to the o2 sensor not registering the flow. It was fitted by Genie Exhaust, they are easily the best performance house south of the river (WA). They think a tune or flashtune will sort out the issue. They reset the ECU to stock 3 times. 2 new o2 sensors were fitted at the time of install (thursday 16-8-2012)

Is this the case, or will it dissapear?

    Cheers,
    Chris

Very odd, I have never had a cel after any of my bolt on parts, I also have cp-e dp, dont have a tune and haven't got extender. As far as I thought its about the only good thing with the 6's not throwing cels

Post your Cel code ,and we may be able to assist. Many of us have had some experience with this issue.

Did you have genuine O2 sensors fitted?

I got a single CEL when I fitted my CP_e DP but after a re-start it vanished and never came back. Give it a chance to soot up, get hot and burn off any crud that is on it and see if the CEL goes. You could try disconnecting your battery earth lead and reconnecting it and then restart. Are you sure the sensor lead didn't get twisted and damaged during the installation?

I would check if the o2 sensors are oem (as mentioned), bosch primary sensor can cause issues, otherwise disable in AP lol

The hypertech says "DTC#1 P2246" as the error code.

    P2246 - o2 sensor reference voltage circuit high bank 1 sensor 1
is the primary o2 sensor oem? might be spiking voltage.
