Default EOI - Carbon Fibre Vinyl Badges

    Hey guys,

    This is an EOI.

I wrapped a Mazda emblem in Carbon Fibre Vinyl last week.

It is a great alternative to painting or plasti-dipping the badge as it won't chip, it's extremely durable and it's 100% reversible.

The first member who saw it on my car had to have it, so now it's on his car and I've got his stock badge to wrap to replace mine.

I am considering making a few of these badges if any other members are interested.

The first one took me two hours and good deal of skin off my finger tips to wrap but I'm hoping the second one will be quicker and kinder with practice.

There will be a cost involved, and my idea will be to purchase a number of badges in bulk and start wrapping them so that I have some on standby and saves me having to make continual trips to the post office to retrieve badges and send wrapped ones off.

Price wise I would be asking $60 posted - that gets you a new OEM badge wrapped in professional grade carbon vinyl (UV stable 9 year outdoor life).

This isn't about making money, but more about what my time is worth (I don't get much spare!).

If you're interested, express your interest here and based on response we'll go from there.

    Cheers

    Mat

That looks neat. I'm down for one. My black badge is showing flakes.

Are you offering any other wrapping services?
    Wing mirrors?
    Window trims?

I did that to my badge as well, i figured while I had the grill off I would do the badge at the same time...

Hadn't really thought about it to be honest, Pete. PM me with what you've got in mind and we can talk offline. Biggest thing i've done is a roof - smallest thing i've done is a badge.....so i guess as long as it falls in between?! hahah.
@newmaz - i'll put you down as EOI

@mad44z - it does look neat when done well - but it's probably the most intricate thing i've wrapped to date - so many tight curves and corners - you can't hide any errors!

@ Brackaus - Yeh no worries - at this stage it is only badges - i'm not really keen to take on anything i can't do in my own time.....badges I can just plug away at while I wind down at night.

Once I get 5 or so i'll buy the badges and get cracking.

We need someone in Melb who's proficient in wrapping

Would have loved to have had access to someone with your care and attention to detail when I got my rear valance done

Are we talking just the front Mazda emblem here?

A full set would be a nice touch, but potentially a lot of work...

Could do front and rear but the 'Mazda' badge on the tailgate would be hard - and the 'MPS' badge would be even more tricky - plus they cost a fortune from Mazda. Price would be high. I can give it a shot - mine are sitting in a box - but not expecting it to work.....

Oh man I've wrapped a lip before it was not fun!

P.s. did another badge tonight, took about an hour and a half - so I'm getting faster!

Only had one solid interest and one semi interest so I didn't really go any further with it....
