Hi guys
i did this, this afternoon took the best part of 30 min's to do with parts that are easy to comes by, it will help keep your boost air temps down by removing the 100+ deg water from flowing through it, that heats up the throttle body and in turn all the air that passes through it
First what you will need
A pair of plier's
2 x 6 or 8mm vacuum caps or similar - Supercheap Auto - i used 6mm bit hard to get on but are snug on there
2 x small zip ties - Supercheap Auto
1 x 5/16 double male ended brass connection piece - Masters - bunnings don't stock these and don't use the plastic ones from supercheap
I flushed my coolant system in the process so i also grabbed
4 x demineralized Water - coles
and i had some coolant laying around
And i replaced the bulldog clamps with proper ones
All up i think it was around $25
Now first of all pop your bonnet (i drained my coolant first) and locate you throttle body, now remove the two hoses pictured below
Next push one of the ends of the connector piece into one of the coolant hoses any clamp it down then push the other coolant pipe over other end of the connector and clamp it down,
it should look something like this (i didn't want to cut my hose to size just yet)
Next work the vacuum caps on to the exposed metal coolant pipe's and zip tie then on securely like below
now if you emptied your coolant top it back up to the top with the coolant additive and demineralized (cap on) and the reservoir (don't worry if you cant get the same amount back in to the radiator that came out) and start the engine wait till it start to get warm then take it on a quick run around the block, pop your hood and you will notice that your reservoir is now empty fill it up again, now another run around the block and check again repeat until the level in the reservoir doesn't drop anymore
And your done
