Yes its the turbo but nothing can be done as the standard turbo doesnt have antisurge. you can buy a turbo with a antisurge housing.

shouldn't be getting compressor surge when in +ve boost pressure or during acceleration. It only happens when you close the throttle opening at a boost level not high enough to open the BOV, meaning the charge gets forced back through the compressor wheel - slowing the wheel and causing it to 'chop' the air which makes that noise.
All that those anti-surge housing do is provide a relief path for that charge to go 'around' the blades instead of 'through' to prevent your compressor wheel stalling. A properly working BOV will do the same thing.
Yes anyway, did TH shed any light on it for you? Just re-read the entire thread and i'm at a loss - you've ticked all the 'air' boxes.
So then you move on to spark and fuel - but from the sound you describe it just seems to be more 'air' related.
Maybe power run on a dyno would show something - if nothing else, you can have the bonnet up and listen for where the noise is coming from?

Wanting to test SRI and box to see if i can spool turbo earlier, see if the noise go
