Prob more body kit exterior asserories for the Vw, i know a fair bit about both as i was looking at GTI/S3/WRX before i bpught my gen2. the parts for rebuild are cheap for both compared to the MPS
Being a euro I would have assumed the parts were exy??

I have owned a b5 Audi a4 - parts are not cheap - and they are not fun cars to work on. The front end has to come off for practically everything in the engine bay!

Pretty sure the S3 = forged internals, Troy knows a thing or two about them..
    that would be my pick

APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

    "Stage I ECU Upgrade

Not only does our Stage I ECU Upgrade give you higher peak numbers of 239kw and 435nm. Gains of up to 49kw are available at Higher rpms! APR's ECU Upgrade is the best power per dollar modification for the new 2.0T FSI and gives it just the extra edge these cars lack from the factory without pushing the limits. With factory like smoothness and drivability APR's ECU Upgrade will fill the void in an otherwise excellent car. "

Funny , actually was looking at c32s.

Make power easy but like the m3 are getting old. Fairly cheap compared to the m3 but all have high kms. Some problems with the blowers etc

Think I need to stay away from the older euros.

Have a Pirelli gti to look at on Friday. Haven't seen one previously . Will be interesting.

    anything constructive to add?

I'm thinking outside the box. 240kw and 0-100 in 6.0 stock with luxury appointments. Think it holds it's own.

What about a Skoda Octavia vRS?

I used to own a 2010 and they have quite a few features available in stock form! On top of that, it runs the Mk6 GTi engine + drivetrain! I picked mine up brand new for $34,900 which was cheap considering they are RRP $37,900 and ended up getting a GIAC tune. Even though the MPS is more impressive power wise, the vRS was an awesome car to drive - wiped the smile off the face of a few people and I still think it beats the MPS in overall driveability! Only downside was the seats aren't the most comfortable, in which case I nearly swapped over the Golf R seats but decided against it. Sold it to reduce some debt but 2nd hand you should be able to pick up one with low kms for 30k!

Look for 2011 models and above, they come out with Sat Nav as standard which also includes a 30gb internal hdd!

Other cars I would consider would be:
    - Megane RS 225
    - Golf GTI Pirelli (quite like the yellow ones)
    - Audi S4 B5 (Although alot of KMs now - twin turbo 6 + awd = amazing )
    Metro Grey '08 MPS Sports - Cobb SF SRI - 17x9 +45 Enkei RPF-1 - 245/40 Yoko AD08s - 163fwkw on Tunehouse Dyno
