Default Xede piggyback ECU + loom

Item: Chiptorque Xede + Plug and play loom (loom needs minor modifications, its a bit short)
    Location: Melbourne, VIC
Item Condition: New loom, used Xede
Reason for selling: Its been sitting in a box for 12 months, was going to use it in conjunction with the Hypertech but never got around to it.
Price and price conditions: $250 posted - rrp $900
    Extra Info: Nil
    Pictures: Coming soon.....

What is it I hear you ask?
    http://www.chiptorque.com.au/XEDE.html
The xede is a piggy back ecu to tune your car with the ability to run two maps.

The loom is good because you don't have splice into the stock loom so it is completely reversible without anyone knowing.

    Hi There,

This will need a tune to be able to operate.
It will also need to be wired into the stock loom however, I have a spare loom extension purchased from protege garage that can be utilized.
Its a piggy back ECU essentially, you can also purchase a switch for it in order to change between two different maps on the fly.
I had originally intended to use it in conjunction with the hypertech flash tune but it didnt eventuate.
Main reason was I wanted to play with a Cobb Accessport.
The Accessport is more advanced than a piggyback but cannot switch tunes on the fly, its also considerably more expensive to purchase.
No doubt this is older technology and I am making a considerable loss however, its a very cheap entry point to get a custom tune.

rather interested however I don't have the spare cash for maybe 2 weeks. hopefully still around then and I'll get back to you. I am planning a trip to tunehouse soon for a tune and fit SRI n Box. This would essentially be 'better' than tuning standard computer like I was planning??

Im not here to mislead anyone.
Better is not necessarily the word!
You need to decide what is the best path forward for you.

The options are this which has to be wired in and tuned, buy an accessport for $600 and get a custom tune or look at something like tunehouse's EcuTek option @ ~$1600? (not up to date on pricing).

I am currently using the accessport, the original plan was to use this to tune - run two maps with water meth and use the hypertech to remove throttle restrictions but due to my move to melbourne it didnt pan out that way.

I currently own a hypertech unit for our 6MPS and wanted to try the accessport on an impulse buy therefore this has not been utilised - and it wont be for some time if I hang onto it.

Brand spankers these were just under 1k but as I said - its sitting here doing nothing.

The loom I have for it will be useful as the stock ecu loom wont have to be spliced. The only issue I had with this aftermarket loom extension is that it is a bit short, but shouldnt take very long to extend it.

In any case, Tunehouse will be able to fit and tune this for you and for a custom tune it should be a very cheap path.

I dont have the multi map switch for this though chiptorque should be able to sell this so you can change maps on the fly (low boost and high boost).

    As mentioned it is ideal for running two maps and switching on the fly, and also for commanding water/meth injection systems;
*Two unique tuning map banks that allow optional setup for dual map operation
*Two high current outputs for boost control, water spray or auxiliary injector, etc.

**Edit - have a quick read of this for more information on different methods - http://www.ozmpsclub.com/forum/ecu-m...solutions.html
