Off the mark, Gen 1 should win the day.
Top end, Gen 2. Better aero and better gearing for top end plus they rev out a tad better in the top end, not much though (mine tapers off 200rpm after a bloke I work with's Gen 1).
Example, Sport Auto mag (they get great times, and are the N-Ring specialists so I watch their data often)...

2009 model weighs less than the 2010 50 kgs. this would prob pull it in line with the gen1 0-100?
