By steel wheel do you mean...

The US guys also use RX7 S1 (16x8) rims for slicks and winter set-ups...

What are you looking to use them for?

    Google Search: Mazdaspeed3 Steelies

The set-up most yanks use is:
    Width - 7"
    Diameter - 16"
    Offset - +45 / +50
    Tire size -215/55/16

I would still use an RX7 Wheel because it's 8" wide!! more rubber!!

A thing to take not of is if the RX7 Wheels require any spacing in the front. The steelies really fall over when it comes to width.

I usually search Mazdaspeed unless I need an Aust specific answer. You get more results

Well a skinny steelie would be more useful (and easy to find a single rim) for you application then the RX7 rims.

Might be worth a shot. As long as the offset isn't crazy they should work.

Thanks for searching but it's a little far to travel to pick it up.

I'll have a look for a rim only in that size.

Is the stud pattern on a 2012 falcon ute the same 5x114.3?

I'd ask the seller on eBay but they will probably have no idea what I'm talking about.

I'm after a full set of steel rims now so I can refurbish the standard 18s. Will standard Mazda 3 15" rims fit? I'm concerned they wont clear the calipers.

Pretty sure 16" is the smallest you can go.

I would imagine there would not be bugger-all room between brake and rim...
