Default Soon to be a new MPS6 Owner (and first post) :)

    Hi everyone!!

Joined the forum last week after doing some test driving of a vehicle i saw at a car yard. love at first sight.
An amazing test drive. i expecting a quick car but it exceeded my expectations haha (1st and 2nd disappeared so quickly haha 3rd is definitely the party gear though)
handling is beautiful (can hardly notice the "active" AWD. drove as good if not better then a mates NA 2.5 subaru liberty).

Deposit was paid and finance went through today !!

So on thursday afternoon/evening i will be a new MPS6 owner in north brisbane area!!

car has a few km's (154k) but it looks to have an immaculate service history. a real credit to the previous owner. maybe a member? (was located at byrne ford kedron)
2006 "pov pack" (so no leather or bose) to be honest i kinda prefer the "pov pack" anyways.
I had a previous 6 luxury before selling it. leather was nice. but a killer in summer. and the bose was nice for a factory unit. but i think my alpine H/U and 6 stacker with JL audio 3 ways in the front and JL audio splits in the rear might sound better once they are in anyways.......

Anyways hope to be joining and meeting new peeps on my first cruise in the near future

P.S. Pics will appear as soon as i can.

Hey Mitch, Welcome to the QLD team!! Sounds like a nice ride. Looking forward to some pics.

There's another Mitch on the forum, but we don't mention him... At least your forum name makes sense.

    Enjoy the forum.

Well I was looking at buyng it outright as tax time is coming up etc. so I only f inanced part of the purchase. Interest rate is 13.x on a variable rate personal loan. But it wont exist for long.

First mod is changing those horrible yellow lights hahahaha. You really relies how yellow "normal" bulbs are when they beside the xenons.

Bought some Narva "Blue plus 90"
they are the whitest you can go but still keeping it legal

    Oh okay fair enough.

Are you changing your stock xenons? I think the stock xenons on the MPS6 look really good actually.

No. I'm leaving the stock denims alone. They are awesome haha. I'm changing the high beam bulbs and the fog/driving lights

I changed all the lighting as one of the first mods, 6000K HID's, LED park lights, brighter Fog lights, White/Blue High beams

With great power comes great fuel consumption...

So changed the high beam bulbs over. now the drivers side won't work
thought it was a faulty bulb so tried the old one back in it. still nothing ......

now the thing is I'm wondering if it worked at all .... I'm only 99% now haha.

What could this be ... I've checked all the connections and it all seems nice and snug...
...ill have to do some research then when u have time pull it apart and look deeper

    Default Pics as Promised :)

Sorry about the quality ... using the iPhone 4 ..

As you can see it as stock as a rock haha

however i have discovered the sound system is upgraded. h/u in dash is the stock 6 stacker. but i found a JVC Amp anger the passenger seat. this is powering the Focal sub you can see in the boot picture. and it is also powering the Polk Audio DB series splits in the front door. there is also polk audio speakers in the rear doors that must be running straight off the standard head unit. look like oval speakers i the rear doors so I'm guessing they are 5x7's ....

    Happy Driving
