    Default Targa Tassie 2012!

There's some great competition in the showroom category this year, a Focus RS, a Megane RS250 and an MPS.

There is also another MPS competing in the Regularity category but I don't know what that means.

Full entrant list can be found here:

Will be on tv eventually as a highlights package.

And reedy, regularity is a points based event. You have to average a set speed over a stage, losing points for time over or under.

Could you set a speed by saying, i'll be fastest hatch on the stage? lol...

I remember top gear doing this a few seasons ago didn't seem to fun

First leg results are up, the MPS has a big lead in the showroom class already.

Looks like the Focus RS didn't run. That's a shame =(

At least the MPS is bashing the Renault already =)

The MPS has bashed the Renault in Stages 1 and 2. Stage 3 ran today but the results don't seem to be up yet.

the 2 focus rs's are missing cause they haven't been tuned yet, they are returning back to Horsepower Factory over next 2 weeks. Not sure if they would be in the same class as the MPS.

The RS i saw when i was down there had a full cage and monster AP racing brakes lol.

Which would make it even more embarrassing when the MPS beats it.

Leg 3 results are up, the MPS has put even more time between itself and the RS250.

I'm pretty sure the Mazda has got a serious case of driver mod at play here.

Leg 4. Mazdas in very good positions overall.

The Megane looks like it might have crashed or retired from Leg 4.

Overall results. Once again the MPS dominates its class and finishes 6th overall. The Mazda Factory team have some seriously ridiculous drivers in their cars.

Once again the RX8, despite looking strong all week ended up with a DNF. It was on target to finish 3rd =(

6th overall from a showroom class vehicle is truly astonishing, regardless of whose driving the thing.

MPS 3 - perhaps the most underestimated, underrated car...ever ???

    + 1

Shame about the RS250 crashing out. Was looking forward to some bragging rights over a mate at work who just bought one.
