Lenovo X201 Laptops - Going Cheap
Hi All,
As some of you may be aware, I work for an IT Reseller who is a Lenovo Tier 1 Business Partner (we buy direct from Lenovo)
From time to time we will do large stock buys on Lenovo and hold stock in our warehouse while we sell it.
We have currently a surplus of Lenovo X201 laptops that we need to move. These are brand new Aus delivered units, not grey import. They're also corporate grade, not consumer models, so they're built tougher and have higher quality components than most consumer grade laptops you'd buy from JB HiFi etc. They also have a full 3 year depot warranty, as opposed to the consumer grade units which is normally 1 year only.
I have currently 280 of the following:
33233QM - Lenovo ThinkPad X201 - $600 inc GST
Specs:
Core i5 480M - 2.66Ghz
4Gb RAM
320Gb 7200RMP HDD
12.1" Display (1280x800 - Intel HD Graphics
Gb Ethernet LAN
Wireless LAN (b/g/n)
Optional Wireless WAN (3G)
BlueTooth
Modem
Fingerprint Reader
Camera
6 Cell Li Ion Battery
Windows 7 Pro 64'
3 Year Depot Warranty
Please note, for size/portability reasons this unit does not have an internal DVD drive.
These units are one generation old, however aside from a minor chipset refresh they are basically identical to the current X220 series which is $1000 more than these.
They're ideal for home users who might want a cheap but good quality laptop for around the house. Small business who want something reasonable but don't have a large budget. Or even corporates who are looking for a good, reliable, cost effective laptop for a mobile workforce. They're quite small and light, weighing in at slightly less than 1.5Kg with the 6 Cell battery.
In short, they're good units, we just have a lot of them
Re money, can do via Credit Card or Direct Transfer (or cash if you wanted to come pick up from us in Mulgrave)
Can also do carry bags, additional power packs, batteries, external keyboards/mice, Onsite warranty etc
Full invoices will be provided for company/taxation purposes
Shipping can be arranged to anywhere in Aus. Include your postcode in the PM for freight pricing.
PM me if interested
Cheers,
Dan

Geez...good buy. Had no idea you worked for a Tier 1 Lenovo supplier. I already run a Lenovo netbook at home and will be needing a 14-15" Core i7 based system soon and rated my old Thinkpad quite highly, will get in touch

No worries Danski. Most of our laptop business is in Lenovo T series (the most common corporate model). Usually always have something going in 14" in particular.
Can also do Lenovo W (workstation) class laptops, but we don't do too many of those, so don't generally tend to stock due to high cost of them sitting on the shelves

We had 500 of them......

if they had better graphics cards than intergrated than i would be .
-
They're built for mobility John. Discrete graphics adds bulk and impacts battery life severely. Not things you want on a small footprint laptop like this. You'd be better off with a larger T or W series if you want graphics grunt

Pity they're 12"... would have grabbed one with a 15" 1920x1080 display...
Screen real estate ftw... gotten too used to it on current laptop
