Shipping doesn't seem that rough to me, USPS global priority air to Melbourne is $37.68.

217US all up, $305AU to the door.

Jmac, are you running the GFB Hybrid in your MPS? If so, what are your thoughts? Price?

    Cheers.

Sure am, as well as a few others.
Decided on this after Matt (MattMPS3) took me for a spin so I could hear his.

Bad news is RRP is $399.
Good news is its well put together, and easy to adjust (screw on top - no changing springs). It can be set to full vent, recirculation or 50/50 (which I currently use).
    Sound is good too.

    AND - its Australian.

Here is a list of GFB resellers.

I have a 'Turbosmart' BPV from street unit on my MS3. It's a really good valve for both sound and performance. Just sucks how I had to get it from the US when they are made here.

Not trying to rain on your parade but it took six weeks for them to send mine. It was worth the wait though

I've been curious about getting one of these, are they worth the money? Do you need to have a certain amount of previous mods for it to actually be worthwhile? Just seems quite a lot of cash for something that does the same thing as the stock one.

When did you order? Was it before they had the stock in May-June?

    You rate it then?

It probably isn't the best bang for your buck. Having said that an aftermarket valve will hold more boost pressure than a stock one. I found the turbosmart valve gave me a little more power at high revs where the power used to drop off. I've also noticed that it holds boost better between gear changes. Finally it sounds a heluva lot better than the stock valve. You still only get the 'whoosh' when you shift at high revs but it's a much sweeter sound and a bit louder. At lower revs when you back off or change gears it makes a deeper sound which is hard to describe but I love it .
