Default Mazda 3 MPS vs MPS Luxury

    Hi guys,
how do you tell these two apart?
Do the speakers have BOSE branded on them?
Is it true about the lights and the indicators with the bi-xenon lights?

The dealer showed me the MPS i will be taking ownership off, he said it was the luxury edition, the lights do not have the indicators all over them and have one single bulb look instead of two.
However inside i didn't see the speakers with BOSE on them and the sales guy at Mazda lifted up the boot cover and said the Sub sits there in-between the spare wheel.
I just want to confirm that this is how you tell them apart.

Im not sure because he didn't mention the rain sensing wipers and the rear view auto dimming feature (how do you tell anyway?)
thanks for the help in advance, first Mazda for me.

The front lights is the easiest way to tell.

Ie MPS has the orange indicator (as pictured above) on the top of front lights.

Also the lux has the light washers on the front bar where the MPS does not.

hey guys, no its brand new from the MAzda dealers in Sydney, but i thought there were two different models, didnt know it was just one model now. The dealer kept telling me not to worry about luxury/std as the one i got is fully spec'd. I was just thinking maybe he was trying to sell me the car without giving me all the details. Glad its just one model now.

ive had the car for one day and the mrs wants it returned..lol....apparently im spending more time with the car than with her.

If you just want to know for your own info put some pictures up and we will be able to tell you.

There are 3 possibilities (as there could be still be some series 1 around, which is not an issue)

ie Gen 2 Series 1 MPS
Gen 2 Series 1 MPS Luxury
    Gen 2 Series 2

put pictures up including interior and it will be cleared up very quickly.

Personally brand new cars have never interested me Ruddiger! (Not that i've had the financial capacity to go and blow my hard earned on shiny new metal at 25 years of age). The accessories for the gen II MPS 3 are pretty basic - if you're buying new and want some nice little touches opt for the lux model (heaps of nice stuff as standard) but mine which I bought 2nd hand had the mps floor mats and rear bar protector mat (folds over the rear bar when loading/unloading the boot). Theres also a list of accessories on the mazda website specific to the mps 3 too

good time of the year to buy brand new though, EOFY in a few weeks you should be able to negotiate pretty well based on that. I am only new to the forum but saw a thread a while back where someone had shopped around at 3-4 different dealers and some were more willing to negotiate than others.

    Good luck!

Bose amp? That's the sub isn't it? Thought the amp was under drivers seat?
