Thread: 6 MPS clutch replaced and still having problems

  1. Default 6 MPS clutch replaced and still having problems

    Hi all,

Hoping to help find some answers.

Just had my master cylinder, clutch & flywheel replaced had the car back 2 days and the clutch is slipping. Travelling at 60Km/h in 3rd and push the accelerator 75% and it's slipping. Same at about 100km/h in fourth.

Replaced with Excedy clutch and Excedy solid flywheel.

Any thoughts, suggestions before i take it back to the mechanic.

    Thanks

How much did all that set you back though mate, if you don't mind me asking? Even a ballpark would be nice

Yes, if the Exedy is slipping you need to get it back asap... chances are they have put the driven plate in backwards...

Also count on replacing your rubber clutch line within about 3-6 months... ($35 from MPSG for Corksport braided line)

Mine came out to ~$2200 installed (not including the clutch line :-) )

    Chris.
