I think we'll find that REM mounts of the CPE AND Sure design will be medium-term consumables - that is they'll display degradation after a year or two.
I think it's a product of the shear forces that are placed on these (and the OEM) mounts
I'd expect the CPE stage two mount, which solves the shearing load problem, will last much longer without this happening.
I definitely don't expect the sure to be any different - it will crack eventually.

CPE stage two might also reduce vibes by eliminating shear load.
