Default Help?!Anyone with an OBD2 reader on the northside or bris??

    Hi all,
Like the title says, is there anyone on the northside of bris that has an OBD2 reader, and free tomorrow (Friday 25th)?? I have got a CEL 3rd time in a row, no power cut so I'm thinking it may be DP related?? I have a 2xs DP but have had only one CEL. Maybe the warmer weather??? Can anyone help?

Mate, i can meet you in the city and give you my Garmin with the Ecoroute HD. It reads and clears CELS's.

    PM me if you're keen.

Sorry for the laggy update, ended up goin to Mazda, they decided it was the DP and they recommend extending the O2 sensor a bit more!

Did you get the fault code?

Next time it pops up, I'm sure we'll be able to assist!!

if it's p2096 (i think...) extending the 02 sensor wont do anything

If it's the Warm Up Cat Efficiency code (P0421) Then ignore it. Just clear it and see if it re-occurs.

Adding an O2 sensor extension will cause a guaranteed P2096.
If it is a P2096 already, Post CAT AFR mix too Lean, then your O2 sensor might need a clean, or the sensor might need to be moved a bit further into the exhaust flow, not out of it.

...or have the loom extended, move the sensor after the Cat like Troy did on my car. Problem solved.

Just get a black marker and color over the CEL light... you don't need it.. it's annoying!

Brad, Troy did extend it past the cat already. It needs a spacer, the dude at Mazda told me that as he had the same problem in the race MPS. Brackaus, thats not a bad fix, plan B

I think the O2 sensor needs to be cleaned.
It has taken 4+ months for the CEL to appear. (With no extra mods?)
To much unburnt fuel will cause the O2 to become dirty.
