Hmmm seems my move up to the Nexus S was a bit early and I should have waited.

    Still a great phone though.

Will it be a flop like iPhone 5. Oops 4S show tho.

Nope. Google will relish the failed apple show

i like the curve to it a lot. Something different. but how comfortable will this be in your pocket? woudlnt it be cool if it was a flexible phone. but will it be able to do anything different to my HTC DHD? i know it will do the same stuff faster, but if it has some stupid "siri" app then that wont be enough to sell it for me.

1080p recording and the such is all well and good but once again not enough to warrant a purchase. (unless i was a filthy rich oil tycoon or something)

A front camera would be good for video-cybering.

    Hahaha. Tone so wishes.

    But I won't go there.

    Anyways.

Delayed now till 27th october due to passing of steve jobs and his funeral.

    Respect.

See Samsung and Google do have a heart and I guess it would look good (bad press) releasing a phone and OS during an apple funeral

don't like the curve in the prototype pic earlier, but liking the rest of it.

it best have an 8mp camera, be a step backwards from my desire hd if it doesn't.

You realise Mp doesn't make a better picture only a bigger picture.

The 5Mp iPhone camera takes better pictures than some 8mp android cameras.

It's all about which lens they use and how many to let the sharp crisp light in.

    Also depends on software used.

    I would rather a good 5mp camera over a average 8mp

To be honest who wants to carry around 4.65" these days.. Too big, and the 5MP cam is a let down. The Nexus line of phones is really catering for the developer, not the everyday user.

IMO wait for the Samsung Galaxy S III, or if you need a higher res screen but don't like Samsung, Optus are bringing the Motorola Droid Razr to our shores (pre-order from the 24th Oct for $0 on a $59 cap), and what a brilliant kevlar encased bit of kit that is! I've never been much of a Moto fan - well, not until they released the Atrix which was and still is one of my favourites - but the new Razr has all the goodies and more. Its also water resistant (splash proof)..

For those who have just bought one - I still rate the Samsung Galaxy S II though. I've had mine now for +6 months, which is the longest I've had a phone in the last 6 years

What version are people on for Android, I am showing 2.3.6 currently on my Nexus S, I thought because I have a Google phone I would get the latest and greatest version?

I have 2.3.3 on my Galaxy SII... As far as I am aware the latest official Samsung ROM is 2.3.5...

If Optass don't release an update soon I am going to get impatient and install one of the new ROMs from overseas.

3 weeks so far and I have not even rooted it yet... This is the longest in recent years one of my phones has gone unhacked...

    Chris.
