i've got a knock coming from my front left as well when going over bumps. what do you look for when checking the front swaybar links? see if they have come loose?

  4. Default Engine Mounts?

Could it be the engine mounts?
I just had my engine mounts changed today. At first there was some squeaking, and then after 6 months the rubber mounts cracked/split and the engine had nothing to cushion/suppress the noise/vibrations. It was metal on metal. Heaps of vibrations and noise. All good now.

engine mounts were changed 3 months ago
link bars changed 2 months ago

turns out it was the D shape bushes on the sway bar that needed replacing
problem solved with 2 pieces of $20 rubber

nice, good to hear a resolution. did you do it yourself or get someone? curious how hard it is to change these bushes as they seem to be tucked away

theyre not too hard to change
but best to do it on a hoist its easier to access you remove a plate cover and then have to reach in with two hands to undo the bolts (2 for each bush)
it takes about 20-30 min all up with a hoist
on the ground itll be a bit more fiddly to try get your hands in there
