    Default GB - MSD Dashhawk - $400 + $12 Postage

    GB for the dashhawk.

    DashHawk Vehicle Information Display

    Here's the deal:

$400 + $12 postage, my supplier will need to get them in from the USA, you will be dealing direct with them, not me. I MAKE NO MONEY ON THIS (or the TMIC out of interest either). I have bought the last one in stock.

Minimum Numbers are 3. Commited so far:

    1. Teedee
    2. Shakespear
    3. Toxic MPS - RECEIVED
    4. JMAC - RECEIVED
    5. Kblume

I'll be giving your names to the supplier on thursday and PMing you each with his email - its up to you guys to make contact and pay deposit/full amount.

I'm under the impression that this GB will be held open for a couple of weeks longer - batches of 5 sound like a good plan.

For anyone thinking about getting one of these, they are an awesome little unit, they have so much capability over and above the likes of a scangauge.

Also if anyone gets one of these, or already owns one, I have a copy of the last "working" beta software versions v2.5b9, before the development team were sent on their way and the improvised buggy production version was released, maybe we can get it up here on the site for all to share (yes that comment is directed at you Rowan), its about 50megs.

Well I wouldn't publicly condone distributing unofficial software...but what you guys do behind closed doors is not my problem

It was (and probably still is) publicly available on the dashhawk forums, the only catch is that because its a beta version they dont officially support it if you ring their tech line, but if you have any issues you can just reload the commercial release version back on.
I have been running it for months without any issues at all.

I bet you can do the basic install, plug it into the OBD port and thats it.

Then you get into the more specific Mazda stuff and data logging that requires some basic PC skills and the instruction book.

Once you've seen the plug that the Dashhawk uses, look for the matching plug under the steering column where all the wires are and you can't miss it.

my 2 year old daughter could plug it in!

    Prices are AU$.

I also found so pre-prepared screens from Cobbsport. Simply load the profile up and it gives you all the gauges you need. I have file at work and I'll post it later.

Within 5 mins of ripping the paper off like a toddlers xmas present...i had RPM, Throttle position, AFR, Boost, fuel pressure and knock retard RIGHT THERE LOGGED IN FRONT OF ME...soooooooooooooo cool
