Its not the engines .....its the stock turbos that seem to be "luck of the draw" in regards to smoking issues.

Lol sorry had to remind my girl brain the difference between engine and turbo.

So why would they put crappy turbos on good engines then? How much is a replacement turbo?

It's a cost thing. K04 Turbo is cheap and does a good job for what it is.

    Short answer... Yes we are.

BUT, the reason they put these in is for cost. They're a cheap turbo. I don't think Mazda ever saw these cars creating the small cult that we have created. But, Mazda have made a good platform as an enthusiasts car, and it's really only for the mentally unstable (me too) to spend lots of money on these cars...

Now... I hope my tax comes in soon. I want to join the 200 club...

Would a Hyperflow TMIC suffice for a Stage 2 BNR kit?

FatPack means Gen 1 = sports pack, gen 2 = Luxury

Theyre replacing it outside of warranty? Seriosuly?

EVen considering you have been running an aftermarket tune and all kinds of other shenanigans? Who did you give a BJ to? I might need to one day engage the services of this person.

Yeah I remember a while ago he was saying that a couple of Mazda dealers sent rebuilds his way.

He has been building solid turbos for years!
