Thread: Hello from the UK

  1. #1

    Default Hello from the UK

Great site here and loads of info...

I live over in sunny Scotland, owned a Mazda 6 MPS for the last year and carried out a few mods so far:
    Power mods-
    Cpe TIP
    Cpe SRI
Cpe TMIC(finally on it's way after waiting 15 weeks!/along with Cpe towplate)
    Cpe engine mount
    Hypertech
Custom exhaust with second cat removed
Dual demister pod with boost/oil temp

    Looks wise-
    Graphite wheels, Red calipers
    Window tints
Tinted tail lights, tinted fog lights
    Black Mazda emblems
    Eibach springs
    Rear bumper reflector LED,s
    6000k hid's
    'hd' lip

Got a few other bits but that's the majority of it, any of you guys got the TMIC from Cpe? Hopefully it will be worth the wait!

Couple pics from my iPod, easiest way for me but quality sucks...

Yeah some really great roads round here, also too many slow drivers on the roads though... You never know what's round the next corner!

Hey Kev, just logged in and found your PM (on the UK forum) sorry for not replying, I haven't logged in for ages and always have problems signing in.
I like the mods you've gone with and I'm happy that I may have inspired you in such a way to tackle similar mods, looks great. I would probably get black rims if it were me (black it out a bit more stealth)
Then some hot red decals might stand out and look money. Might add a bit of zing to the front end and well as agression. Post up the pics here if you like.

Good job on cleaning the MAF sensors too, makes a bit of difference and keeps things running well too

With great power comes great fuel consumption...

That ain't me strangely enough but I have been looking at your bonnet bulge decals but last time I checked your site was not working when try to add item to basket, all other items fine though.
Did the guy get white ones? Was maybe another guy on the uk site.
I'm thinking black or metallic charcoal, want it to blend in/but look good!
How would your black decals look against a black Mazda? Got any pics? Cheers... Kevin

I would suggest met silver that is a great finish on the black Mazda6. He bought silver not white and is really happy with them.

I have had trouble with the site and that particular product. I do believe it is up and running and awaiting your order. If any trouble contact me and i try and resolve.

The black on black is a cool concept which one of the guys on here has already tried. The only thing its very difficult to photograph such a small colour comparaion. So sadly i cant really show how it looks

    cheers

I saw the Ford GT they had on display at the car show last weekend. It was gloss back with matte black decals. I'm not really a fan of the car itself, but the motif looked fantastic.

I think it would only work with matte black decals though. Gloss black would get washed out in the paint and not have the same effect

Yes the matt finish the only way to do it. If the paint work is looked after well so you get the contrast. I saw somebody do it on a old school porsche which was a good look

    That would look very nice.

Here's are a couple of pics I dug up on the web of the GT I mentioned earlier:
