$17000 for a new engine.. It better be making 500hp!!!
So if an MPS Owner needed a replacement standard engine.. What would it cost us? Does anyone know?

Hes saying he's the second owner so maybe it was bought on the cheap as a repairable write-off.
If he's cracked the oil sump I'd be having a good look under the car to see of there's anything else that's been damaged too. Usually something that's big enough or has been hit hard enough to crack the sump has done other damage at the same time

You have to be driving without the under cover on and keep driving after you have dropped all the oil after hitting something???
Sounds more like it was driven too hard and pop a piston out the block....
After reading the ad.

I'd say he pop a rod or piston.

A new motor from Mazda is $13K for a short motor. I priced one before I did too many mods to mine.
Steer clear of this one too guys (potential buyers lurking around here)..

Was at carnet auctions about 8 months ago. No log books, paint work is stuffed (acid rain markings) and it just didn't feel that clean. They offered it to me for 16k on the day... pfft no thanks.
