Thread: Tribute to Celestial blue

    Default Tribute to Celestial blue

With the interment death of Celestial Blue, as I reported here

    http://www.ozmpsclub.com/forum/gener...s-2-white.html

I thought I would start a page in memory of this great colour.

It was bold and bright and not to everyones tastes.

People would love it or hate it, there was no real inbetween.

The one thing both sides could not argue was that it was not hard to find the car in the car park.

I now invite other Celestial Blue owners to share their pictures and thoughts.

    R.I.P Celestial Blue

There is an in-between, and that's where I stood.
Loved it in pictures, loved it on a sp25 sedan I saw when it first came out, hated it with a Passion on any neo or maxx it was on, and on MPS I sort of thought it didn't suit a performance car.

Now however, if I was to buy a gen2 MPS it would be "incest-ial" blue, it really grew on me. Still hate it on base models though.

Problem is, now its going to be a collectors item and the value will increase!

Now we'll be stuck with common white that will flood the market.

    So R.I.P. incest-ial.......sorry, celestial blue.

It was a bit 'girlish' for me. But then again I can't believe guys actually drive MPS3's.

Sorry to everyone I have just offended.

Are you saying the MPS3 is a girly car ? I consider it a 'refined' sports car

How bizarre. I've always thought of it as a car for sexy, confident women.

a 'girly' car to me is a car for bimbo airheads not for sexy, confident women ....

anyhow back on topic RIP Celestial Blue, I too have enjoyed having your bright coloured cars on cruises and think it does suit the MPS ... the fad of white will soon wear off when they are everywhere

    agreed mel
a "girly" car to me is something like the SLK

when 50%+ of new MPS's are white, think it'll become really overdone

I agree with this. I have never liked it on the neo and maxx.

It a bold colour that is why I think it suited the bolder/sporter models. I can not understand why peolpe think it did not suit a performance car.

I think ford have only had their version of the colour on the sporter/performace versions ie XR6. There has to be a reason for it.

I liked it, but didn't have the balls to buy it. Sad to see it go.

Glad to know that one day I will have a collectors item

Love the car and I love the colour. I do have a little weak spot for the Red Mica, but CB was always going to be the colour for me.

I have found opinion divided, with friends and people whom I work with. They either like it or dislike it, the is no in between.

As BlueMPS said, you can, never ever loose the car in a car park....lol.
