Thread: Future MPS owner

    Default Future MPS owner

    Hello All

As the Title suggests... I am looking at buying a brand New 2013 MPS in either Red or White, around the New Year.
Plans and first mods to the MPS will be all purely Handling components (chassis bracing, swaybar etc). Performance will be after warranty

Here is a little bit of history (About Myself):

Currently 20 Years old, I live out Sydney West (Penrith), and am working as a 3rd Year Apprentice Industrial Electrician.
Most of my life has been Cars and Motorbikes.
took part with my dad in my first Motor, Interior and Full Body rebuild at the age of 12.
Car was a 1985 300zx Z31. (car was sold to our Uncle who still has it )

We then did a Full body rebuild on a 1974 TA22 celica

Dad then Purchased a 1993 300zx Twin Turbo Z32, soooo much time effort and money has gone into that baby... and I love it. (still have the car)

For quite some time my brother had a 180sx (SR20DET) quite modified, he then has moved onto an EVO8 MR, currently putting out 255KW at all 4 on E85 (stock turbo, Stock cams... un opened engine)

We also have another 1997 300zx Slick top Manual 2 seater Z32.

Oh,... 1 more... Liberty GT spec B MY08

So those are all the cars which I have done quite Extensive work on since I was a wee little lad, and have a fairly large knowledge base on.

First car was my little 1991 Mazda 323 SP BG, got her in a rough shape, did all the body work and a full respray when I was 15/16.
    drove it for a few years;
Then Purchased my 2001 Mazda 323 SP20 BJ about 2 years ago... Since then... the mods have just rolled in

Below is the Current Mods List on my Little Gokart:

Engine (not much... don't want Police troubles):
    - Autoexe SRI Carbon Intake
    - Perry rear Muffler

    Suspension/ chassis:
    - Cusco Vacanza Coilovers
    - Carbing Front Strut Brace
    - Custom Made Rear Strut Brace
    - Cusco Lower Control Arm Brace
    - Wholesale suspension Custom Made Rear Swaybar
    - AAC rear endlinks
    - Whiteline Front Endlinks.
    - Full Re bushing of front and rear end using SuperPro bushings (Increased Caster on Front LCA)

    Wheels/ Tyres/ Brakes:
    - *Not currently on Car* Mazdaspeed MST-II 18x7.5 +50, 215/35/18 Federal 595s
    - Buddy club P1 SF 17x7 +42, 215/45/17 KU31
    - 2009 Mazda6 299mm Front rotors and caliper upgrade
    - 2009 Mazda6 280mm Rear rotor and caliper upgrade (custom handbrake cables)
    - RDA curved and dimpled rotors.
    - HEL braised Lines.

    MISC:
    - JDM WRX STI front Seats
    - And a lot more .... but you get the idea

Anyway... Reason why I am telling you all this, I might be 20... and I am not a Mechanic... but don't write me off as being mechanically retarted

    I do have some experience...
of coarse though... There is so much more in which I need to learn

Anyways... that's about it from me, Just wanted to drop in and say hi
you probably wont hear from me much... but I will always be reading!

I will post up a pic of my current little baby... and Penrith members... feel free to give me a wave if you see me around.
Hopefully the year goes quickly and treats me nicely... I will have my MPS in no time

    Cheers for Reading,
    Aaron

    Thanks fellas.

Should also add... plans for my 323 was a KLZE swap.
all was just about to go ahead... but I pulled the pin as I believed the MPS was a smarter option.

ohhhh myyy gosh... Autoexe Front bar *Drooooool*

haven't worked on many old holden's... just bucket loads of 50's chevs and old school 1918 Pontiacs (with the wooden spoked wheels).
actually... a couple have recently pictured in the underbelly series. They were my Grand fathers before he passed away a few years ago.

was quite nice seeing them again

as you can tell... the entire family is a bunch of car nuts!

I will chuck a picture up of our current cars and a couple of previous ones too

EDIT: Noticed you have Autoexe Body bracing... where did you source these from? Autoexe Direct... then freight forward?
    and what body bracing exactly?

I definitely intend on the Full Autoexe Bracing treatment too!

Ok cool, The prices seem astronomical from the USA for these items. the products them selves aren't actually crazy expensive.
I shall be looking into the best possible way of getting them...
my thoughts though... buy direct from Japan and sea freight in a container over.

I mean... that's where most of the bits for my current car came from

    Welcome mate.

I had a 1993 Mazda Astina SP in the greeny/blue colour

Damn I loved that car. Only had it 12mo and some hit me and wrote it off

    What colour did you have?

    damn.. that's a shame

I picked mine up for $100.
was unreg' and in a rough shape.

colour was a faded red, pinkish red or whitish red... depends on which panel you were looking at
the clear was stuffed and colour faded.

Tore it all apart and resprayed in the GM 'RED HOT' colour.
    was awesome

    Welcome Dude

I used to own a celica st184 (5sfe) ended up putting a 3sgte (can't remember the code off by heart) into the celica and dubbed it they gt2 with the help of a friend who is a apprentice mechanic
He still owns the gt2 and a Carlos sainz celica which I can't remember which number it is.
