if i get a turbo back exhaust done is there a need for a dump pipe?

    is thedumppipe part of exhaust?

just not sure how they work

dump pipe replaces first half and gives decent power/torque gains + sound
cat back replaces second half and is mainly for sound
TBE (turbo back exhaust) is the whole system

Go the Dump pipe only then... Brings on boost quicker.

+1, spool is around 500RPM less if I remember. The Downpipe will do more in terms of power gain than a Cat back. Together they work well.

Example on a 6MPS with the CP-E SS 3" Downpipe installed with Cat back system.

it's got a nice note when you give it a bootful, but it's still discreate whilst running around town

That one is cheaper because it appears not to come with a high flow cat. Mine did, but this one is a replacement for your first cat. The most restrictive. But allowing you to run your factory second cat.

so would there be any gains replacing the secong cat?

or is the most restrictive first cat enough for the gains?

Not so much 'HP gains', but it allows the turbo to spool quicker, and lets the exhaust flow out smoother. Alot of guys are doing the first cat replacement. It's a VERY restrictive cat. This pipe would be suited to you for a cheaper dump pipe option. Mine cost more for the simple fact that not only did I remove my first cat, but I changed my second one to a high flow. Cat's are expensive, hence why mine was over $1000...
