Default Looking for another MPS 3 2nd gen

Hi all, I just thought Id introduce myself, 4 years ago my Wife owned a RED MPS 3 but sold it. I loved the car very much and regretted her selling it.
I have owned EVO's (4 in fact) for a long time and still love them and will be buying a 2nd gen MPS 3 as soon as my EVO VII sells.

So if you know anyone in the market for one of the best EVO's in the country that runs 12's down the 1/4 let me know as it will get me into a new MPS 3 sooner.
I'm looking to learn more about the MPS and how to modify them so that they stay reliable and quick.
    Cheers.

Welcome Mr NQ! Are you in Townsville? Cairns? Good group of MPSers in Cairns.

You've come to the right place for mod advice. SRI's to rebuilds, someone's doing it.

    Have Fun!!

    Brad.

    Hey mate, I'm in Townsville.

How does the Fuel system rate when running more boost? Obviously up grade the pump, But what size are the injectors?
Have heard about bottom end issues with the 1st gen when running more boost, are the 2nd gen any better?

A recent poll suggests very few people have changed their fuel pumps in the Australia. That includes full tunes and even some with new bigger turbos.

US owners seem to have a very different opinion. A large percentage of them swear that changing fuel pump internals is the first thing to do

Yeah I loved the MPS when we owned it and have heard the 2nd gen is even better and has more fruit.
Of course I would give CASH your way as well as the EVO.
Dont get me wrong the EVO is in a class of it own, But there's just something about the MPS....
    PM Sent mate.

If the MPS3 was AWD, Id be there in a heartbeat too. The rex and evo just dont make sense until you get to the twisties. I do love cruising around in the MPS3 tho; comfortable, luxurious, zippy. Its got everything.... (except AWD )

Yep exactly couldn't agree more. But in my old(er) age I'm starting to like a bit more luxary. I love the low down Torque of the 2.3

Welcome mate, I'm in exactly the same boat as you, having traded my R33 Skyline in on a Gen II MPS. Much more luxury and less hassles than a modded import. You will love it!

Yay, great colour choice. Not sure if you're staying in Bris Vegas on the way through, could catch up for a coffee with the local crew?

Would be awesome to catch up but it's going to be a mad dash and will be going inland on the way home.
Didn't drive a 2nd gen yet, But we had a 1st gen and loved it. I'll have a good 2500klm to "Test" drive it on the way back.
