Thanks for that....I should have said that it is a MPS 6 with OEM rims.
The time has come for some new tyres and I am in a bit of a quandy.
The original Bridgestones wore out at 28,000 and I replaced them with Kumho's which have now done about 34,000kms.
The car is...
My 2005 build MPS6 has under 60,000 on it and is in very good condition. No mods and still has the original brake pads and rotors.
Was offered $8K as a trade in by a dealer and I laughed all the way...
I have 57,000 on the clock and my mechanic reckons it is almost time for new brake pads.
He seemed to think the original rotors could be skimmed but I have heard this is not advisable.
Good excuse...
I bought the car with 8500km on it and I replaced the original Bridgestones at 28000km.
I bought the 6MPS when it had about 9,000km on it. I replaced the original OEM Bridgestones at around 28,000km. Still just legal tread, but why take the chance.
Replaced with Kuhmo Ru 31's...much...
I like the way that if you drive an MPS around under 2800rpm it's granny's car, but take it up over that and it a little rocket!

OK - my OE Bridgestones had done 24,000 and just about stuffed. I read this whole thread (yes, really!) and eventually came to a few conclusions. Firstly, you guys in the Eastern States seems to get...
I have a late 2005 6MPS. The clutch was very touchy and a bugger to drive in traffic. It was replaced without question by the Mazda dealer down here, and is now considerably better.
My late 2005 6MPS has had tankfuls of most of the major 98 octane fuels avaialable, and I am fairly certain that there is bugger all difference between them. I say that from careful checking of fuel...
OK...so what size Sumitomo (I presume you have HTR 3's) did you fit, and do you run the stock 6MPS rims?
In my experience, not too many car manufacturers will warranty the clutch , unless it is an obvious fault. Let's face it, MPS owners are going to give their cars a good work out....much more than a...

I have always felt that pre delivery charges are bloody outrageous. Under SA consumer law a product must be 'fit for purpose' so that covers the bit about "they have to check everything". In other...
