I was thinking in regards to the series one standard Mazda 6 (2.3L NA) and Mazda 6 MPS (2.3L T).
The mount housings look the same for the dogbone mount and the side engine mount, so I'm guessing...

I put in the replacement tailshaft and it is all good now. Was quite a job to do leaving the exhaust on.
The CV boot at the front of the tailshaft was quite split. However there was still plenty...
A second hand shaft is on the way from a wreckers in NSW, so hopefully all good soon.
The CV joint at the front of my tailshaft is leaking quite a lot of grease! Has anyone else had to repair/replace this before?

Mazda quote $3000 odd for parts and labour :eeksign:.......
Apparently there are no unusual noises coming from the motor so good news there. They said, 'it sounds like every other MPS.' They did a diagnostic and battery load test and found no problems. It was...
No luck yet. I'm getting a diagnostics done at a dealer on Wednesday.
I haven't had a chance to check the plug gaps or have the battery tested yet.
I did check out the terminals for any corrosion and made sure they were tight.
I have found an additional/related?...
The plugs were done 40 000km ago. The battery wouldn't be much more than 1.5 years old. I've noticed that turning the ignition on half way so the fuel pump starts up and waiting about ten seconds...
My stock MPS6 with 119 000 km on it is now having problems with cold starts (first starts of the day, or when work has finished).
It takes it's time to turn over, and when it does there are a lot...
An update on the pads after a few months of use.
They are awesome!
The cold bite is not there on the first brake application, however by the time I am out of my short driveway they are working...
Thanks Matt.
PM sent.
Hi Greg,
I was wondering what you would recommend to me for a full set of pads to suit an MPS 6. I am after a street pad with a good cold bite (as good as stock), low dust and low noise.
The...
Update - it turns out I didn't need a new starter motor after all... The wire between the starter motor and the solenoid was loose. After a good tighten the starter has worked perfectly.
It looks...
I purchased an aftermarket Mazda 6 starter motor for $300 delivered. Hopefully it all fits. I will find out tomorrow (it looks like it is going to be a fun job, due to it's position above the oil...
My MPS 6 is about to be on it's 3rd starter motor. The first one was replaced when the car was under warranty at about 85 000 km by Mazda. Around a year and a half later (25 000km) the starter motor...
Hey 3MPSPWR,
Was wondering what your shipping cost for the four Yokos was to South Brisbane from Tirerack?
I'm thinking of using them for a set of Yoko S-drives. Also was wondering how long they...

Has anybody else had to source some bearings not from Mazda yet?

Hey I am currently looking at engine mount options and I was wondering how the Turbine Tech mount went?
Hi Nath,
I was wondering if you still had some pics of this towbar setup? The link to Flickr appears to be broken?
An update on the brakes issue.
I have not been able to take the pads out and give them a rub down on concrete and a re-bed(correct).
However the more I have driven the car, the better the...
Thanks for the help again gslrallysport. I will try rubbing the pads back and rebedding tomorrow.
The brakes have started to feel a bit better, and so has the pedal.
Dark Authority: I know...
Thanks for all the help guys.
gslrallysport: Looks like the incorrect bed in process could be the problem (I wish they included bed in instructions with the pads).
The fluid has been changed by...
