I'm pretty sure the car runs a closed loop boost controller. Do you know if the stage 2 maps you have increase the boost pressure target?
For anyone following along, I just got 4 new tyres. The old ones were worn enough to justify it, otherwise I'd be getting completely out of sync with tyre rotation and replacement.
For the sake of $500 it seems worth the risk to replace 2 and see how it goes. Then if needs be do the other 2.
Hello knowledgeable people,
I Killed a tyre over the weekend. I got a flat somewhere, but I didn't notice driving on it... got home and side wall shows stretch marks. Oops :norty:
My question...
I'm out, can't do wednesdays.
I run 36 on the front and 35 on the back for my 6MPS. Or if I forget I might use 35/34. I found 38 to be just a bit high... let alone 40.
The vacuum cleaner seemed to work like a good echidna. I pulled the rubber seal off from around the top of the door and vacced them out. I'll just have to keep an eye on it.
Here's a terrbile...
Hello knowledeable folk,
A nest of ants (eggs and all) has moved into my car over the last few weeks :marg:. They seem to be mostly underneath the rubber seal on the passanger side door (I did...
The dash light should flash if it's TC coming on.
Traction control - how hard was the corner?
We used to be a bit more active. Healesville/Black Spur runs, GOR etc. If only I had the money for a track day I'd be in! Driver Dynamics run a track day at Sandown Track Days | Driver Dynamics -...
And I've spent my money elsewhere now... Can't wait till I get a real job.
If only I had that kind of money to spend! I'll wait for the black Friday prices to come out before settling on any purchases, but I have my eye on a TIP (just need to measure my intake size) and...
So I should be having a small lunch tomorrow, 'ey?
How does that group menu work? $40 looks expensive and too much food for me!
I'm just a poor uni student...
If you find somewhere willing to do the clean, I'd be interested in the details. I even have a catch can ready to be put in, but just haven't.
I've seen a couple of other MPSs around Carnegie,...
Hey guys!
I haven't been to any of these meetups for a while. I used to be quite active a couple of years ago. I should come see all the new faces and try to get in on some cruises again too.
Just a quick follow up. I've about about 200km now on the new mounts, things are starting to settle down. It's more like a normal car with a decent amount of engine noise, no longer a luxury car with...
Once the vibs settle a bit I might (and i hunt down some rattles).
At least the REM is the easy mount to change out, though I dont have the tools/room/strength to do it myself.
In any case, if anything goes wrong with my Sure REM i have a JBR REM sitting next to me...
Good to see this happening! I spent an undisclosed amount of time last weekend removing my old rego sticker... (I don't own a hair drier and isopropyl alcohol didn't help remove the glue).
Maybe... maybe not. I would keep the two main mounts the same duro, as they are the ones that support the engines weight. The rear mount serves a different purpose, so I would think it is OK for it...
A very good way to describe it MadAussie - it's certainly no longer a luxury car. But much more fun!
I'm running the 90s on the side and 60? on the rear (left my Sure REM on since there is nothing...
So I got my JBR 90 duro mounts (drivers side and transmission) installed yesterday - was ready for the added vibrations, nothing too bad... but wasn't expecting the noise! From inside it sounds like...
