Your right....however, its best to run any A/C system every fortnight or so , so the gas and oil in the system can run around the system , to lube the seals at the hose connections, if the seals dry...

Ive got all the same intake mods as yours, but also ive done...

Had a lil squirt with one of the local lads that happen to have a R33 GTS , his has a full 3 inch TBE,FMIC 15psi .. and My MPS owned him....so after 3 sets of lights he gave up and turned off.
