Did you ground to the sub under the passengers seat, or the amp under the drivers side? A long way round if you were going to the drivers side!

Nice work Mspec, that's great news. No troubles with the help, I'm glad you got it sorted.
Was the amp hard to pull out? I see the wiring goes through under the carpet - seat out job?
I'll try...
No trouble at all. I guess its better than before but not ideal. Pop is much lower on 0 and once the volume is up a bit the whine is harder to hear.
I'm looking at alternative solutions to the...
Yep, and as the RPM's increase the whiz noise gets higher in frequency. Didn't do it all weekend, nor did the pop. I made a conscious effort to leave it on vol 0 to check.
Just reading and other...
Pulled the head unit out tonight to seat it a bit better, and since putting it back in I'm now getting engine noise though the speakers and a small pop with Bluetooth when on 0 volume. Tried removing...
It's likely that if you have a bose amp you'll face the pop and loud volume. Others here and in the US have experienced it. I doubt Eonon has done anything to the GM5151 which would stop it.

Finally found a solution to remove the dreaded Bluetooth pop and high volume on low settings on the D5151. Heres how:
Total Cost: $3 from Jaycar
Total Time: 30-45 mins
Likely to void warranty,...
Nope and nope. If the re-wiring makes the unit bearable long term then I might look into the camera.
For some reason the gps doesn't pickup the sd card anymore, I suspect its the sd slot but...
If its anything like the D5151 no, just plugs into factory harness however from all reading the headunit then supplies the bose amp with a speaker level signal rather than line level.
I've put up...
If anyone is interested in the harness used to bypass the stock amp shoot me a PM as I no longer have a use for mine. I dont believe you can buy these harnesses any longer.
PAC ADD GM24A ADDGM24A Harness TO ADD Replace Factory GM Bose Amplifiers | eBay was mine.
I wouldn't be sure where you would start looking to see where you could get the male plug from.
Try ebay? I got mine off ebay, not their site.
No problems. Took a few weeks to come from the states.
Here is a few photos of the back of the factory loom. Top row is the wiring which goes to the speakers, bottom row is the wiring from the HU...
Would be a viable solution if your using the RCA's from the HU.
The loom just requires the top and corresponding bottom wire to be connected together, counting back once you figure out which pin...
So.. the PAC loom after the modification for the Bose amp bypass worked. Radio volume is now much quieter at 2, and is a more gradual increase.
The Bluetooth pop is still there when the volume is...
Eonon D5151 + Bose = LOUD music...a Solution! - Mazda3 Forums : The #1 Mazda 3 Forum
Wiring loom arrived today to bypass the stock amp (as shown on American forum). Will wire it up in the coming week and report back with results.
Seems odd. There is only one AUX input.. Left, Right and Video (not used - that's why when you select AUX it says no signal.)
Double check the plug is plugged and clipped into the old loom...
Unpluging the BOSE amp will lose all other speakers.. Just need to remove the factory sub from the equation.
Assuming the amp is just powering the sub? I'd unplug the factory sub, then use the RCA from the headunit to the amp. Head unit has a Sub gain control in the audio menu. Looks like the unit has 2 sub...
Update: Eonon still cannot provide me a solution. They have tried the it costs 60 bucks but you pay 40 bucks email to get me to send it back.. and just suggested I do the custom loom on mazda3forums...
Coin trick? I didn't need to prop mine up at all and fits without gaps.
Here's hoping. There are some unhappy people over on the mazda3forums in the US. They should just opensource the interface and let people play.
Filename nwd_703? I flashed and it didnt change anything. Update process took 4 mins.
Yep - it requires Bluetooth to be on, which is somewhat silly though as Bluetooth will autoconnect anyway. I couldn't seem to re-write the NFC like a tag so that I could define my own NFC behaviour....
