Hi again all,
So my MPS 6 passed roadworthy here in Vic, I ended up getting second hand stock struts/springs of an MX-6 (same as the MPS 6 apparantly), got them put on, car handled like it was on...
What front springs do you all run?
My MPS 6 came with springs so low they were scraping ants off the road as i drove over them.
I found stock springs/struts and have them on now to get passed...
Hey guys,
Just had T2 rotors put onto my Liberty TB Sti today, noticed a big difference, very happy (after a nightmare of a time finding the correct rear rotors).
Im getting T3's put onto my...
I just went for another drive, the P1's (surprisingly) handled alot better. I dont intend to do trackwork with the car however i do enjoy cornering hard at times. Not sure if I should keep them or...
Hmmm are they? Now Im not quite sure what to do as I just took a sweeping bend near my house that I took yesterday at $1.20 and it didnt grip well, mind you the tyres were brand new.
I just took the...
How long do your tyres last? The MPS is a second car and more of a toy than anything so I doubt I'll do more than 5,000km a year in it.

LOL...you know....like egg yokie...
Thanks Skeet, Im gonna try the Yokies, they have awesome reviews. Im sure they'll be much better than the P1's!!
Thanks Lachlan, I looked into the Yoki AD08R's you have, nothing but positives on google about them.
So will be going with them. They charged me full retail ($367 a tyre) but considering they are...
Update:
I didnt need to get grumpy, a bit shout out to the guys at Motorsport Wheels and Tyres in Derrimut VIC. Like I said I've been there before and they have always looked after me.
They had...
Hi,
Roadworthy was done, exhaust passed :) Front springs issue Im fixing, unfortunately it needed 4 new tyres.
I asked the guy to quote me on Potenza S001's which were $310 each, he said what...
thanks guys, the previous model new T3's are $423 total for all 4 rotors. Seems a good buy.
Cheer guys.
The reason I ask is a performance place in Melb has the older model T3's, still slotted but not the latest model with curved slots. They are $260 cheaper in total for 4 than the latest...
Do any of your have DBA rotors on your cars?
I'm considering either the T2's, T3's or the older model T3's which are currently a great price being that they have been superseeded?
I wont be...
My mechanic said a coke can needs to fit under the car, it does at the rear just not at the front. Im going to see how the roadworthy goes but just wanted to cover myself in case they do need...
cheers guys, i have an update you were both right.
As I found out and he agreed, the moron who serviced the car last put WAY too much oil in it so the car is burning it, he'll fix it Tuesday when...
Does anyone have any stock springs for a 6 MPS lying around in Melb?
I know I shouldve posted this in buy and sell but I havent been a member for 21 days so I cant.
My mechanic thinks the car...
Thanks for the replies guys, as cool as a FMIC can look, as I live in Melb I have to put up with 'PrickRoads' so it sounds like an FMIC would probably not be legal here (even if I get it certified by...
So I flew to Adelaide, picked up my MPS yesterday and drove back right away to Melbourne.
Wasnt as bad as I thought, 8 hours or so with a couple of breaks, was 37 over there so a nice evening for...
Which do you prefer and why?
I always assumed FMIC's were better but have seen in here a few people going back to TMIC after having a FMIC. Im a bit confused as to which way to go.....
Update, I just bought the SA car, very happy. Will be more fun doing the mods myself.
I'll get it hre then get the roadworthy and rego while its stock, then do the mods.
I didnt think of the...
Hi Rob, yeah I guess the idea was to have fun doing it slowly over time. However as I am no mechanic, the cost of parts and labour would creep up over $10,000 or so Im assuming. So I guess the...
Hi All,
I posted thi in tech talk but here is probably better.
I'm new here and looking at buying an MPS 6.
I've owned one years ago and regret selling it.
I have 2 options, buy an 05...
What I also forgot to add which was stupid and may be the most important part, is a modified car going to get a roadworthy in Victoria?
Or would all the parts need to be taken off and original parts...
Hi All,

I've owned one years ago and regret selling it.
I have 2 options, buy an 05 with about 80,000km on it or an 06 with 150,000km but fully...
