18 x 9 +45 will give you 18mm less inner clearance than the std Gen 1 wheels. Or 8mm less inner clearance than my RX8 wheels. Would not work with my BC coilovers that's for sure. You'd have some more...

These wheels on Justin's Gen 2 are actually 18 x 9.5 +38. Definately aggressive fitment.

The one thing to watch with a 8.5 rim and a high offset like +45 or +48 is inner clearance; particularly...

I've been real happy with Yoko S Drives (as has 2 other MPS drivers here in Cairns). But with difficulties importing from USA will think other options come replacement time; they're so expensive...

If you're keen on an aggressive look, you'll need to lower your car. Low offset/wide wheels on std suspension looks wrong.

Yep! 527's. And I agree. The Rota G force also look great with a 9" and 30 offset. Anything lower has less dish and looses the look.

This is interesting. I have a custom CBE. Noticeable performance increase. Would a DP only give a similar performance increase? Something for the OP to consider.

True: my RX8 rims (18x8 +50) give similar clearance and less than a pinky finger clearance to the BC coilovers. I dare only run 225/40 at the front because of that. And viewed from the front the car...

Doug, my Gen 1 MPS is over 5 years old, nearing 100k km and never needs oil top ups between services (I change oil every 5,000km).
