So far a pile of parts sitting in my garage and room. Waiting for more to join them. Mostly parts in an attempt to make the rotary last a little longer with boost.

Also causes a slight amount of turbo lag.
It's compressor surge.
Causes excessive stress on the turbo and cab lead to excessive wear on thrust bearings. Meaning a turbo rebuild a lot sooner than it should be.
The whole idea of a blow off...

All it would have taken is a simple explanation rather than a smart arse response...

I don't even own a turbo car yet and can tell you that having any amount of flutter is bad for your car.
I never said it was a cat "issue".
Cats take time to warm up and do their job properly.
Hence why on a lot of cars there are air pumps with the sole purpose of them being to speed up the warming...
A test to see if it is moisture or cat warming up is to drive your car around till it's fully warm.
Stop. Turn it off.
Leave it for a minute and start it up again.
If no smoke occurs again... Then...
Smoke or steam?
In this cold weather it is highly likely that moisture has built up in the exhaust system which is then being heated and cleared out.
Might also be your cat needing time to warm...
