Hey MPS00M
That's all good mate. I'm actually more keen on a set of MCA coil overs, but saw this set up and for the price couldn't help but have a look at it. I'm more about handling and...
Do you know exactly how much drop they provide on a gen1? In your link it says up to 40mm depending on application, but that would be way too much for me though. Thanks.

Haha, I had pretty much those exact items loaded into my MPS the other day!

Eonon are garbage in my opinion. I own a gen 1 and was able to obtain a GENUINE Mazda double din kit from Japan for it which allowed me to install a head unit of my liking (Alpine). I used a PAC...
Welcome and enjoy :)
I'm going to jump in and recommend an e-tune if you haven't had any experience with tuning. Stratified Automotive Controls tuned mine. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately if you're already running a 10w40 the result will probably be the same as the smoking occurs with the oil at normal operating temp. Having said that though, if it's been a while since...

If the VVT hasn't been done then there's a good chance you'll have to do that at some stage. Excessive engine clatter or slack in the chain which can be felt through the oil filler with the engine...
From my understanding, seeing as you have an ecutek tune and would want to keep that tune, the idle would have to be increased using their tuning software. Regardless of what the ecutek tuners say...
Welcome aboard. There's some good value Gen 2s around. Best of luck with the car hunting :)
Well that's interesting!

Nice to see you've had a good result with this oil too. I think it's the best I've used in my Gen 1.

I can also vouch for the Remsa pads combined with DBA rotors, although I'm running the T3 rotors. Great setup. I had a little noise to begin with but that soon went away once they were properly bed...
Nice buy! Welcome :)
As far as fluid goes, I recommended 75w80 even in a gen 1. There was an update issued by Mazda changing the spec which not everyone is aware of. I've had good results with Penrite 75w80 semi...
Welcome! Nice choice and all the best with your car hunting ☺
Welcome! 😉
Welcome! Hopefully your issue gets sorted quick and you can get back to enjoying the car :)

I use one similar to the strap type ones, except it takes a 1/4 inch drive. It's actually meant for a Harley! I claimed it off my old man [emoji14] There are the proper style cap type ones available...
