i like the idea, more power, less boost. Good rules to live by....hence, i will never change from my tuner.....arguably the best tuner in oz but 100% best in NSW..

Matt I honestly think you should get them. The softer 4 settings are actually softer than you think. Even with the spring rates as they are.
Yes I have after a market sway bar and the rear is on...
Hello all,
I became the first person to fit the mps3 teins to my xr5. Been playing around with the settings as im due for an event at eastern creek shortly. I have found that due to my car being...
Welcome to the Mazda forums Jess.....here you will notice less b1tching than that 'other forum' which will be unnamed. Good bunch of enthusiastic guys who are missing a cylinder.
rounded up to 9 inches.
cheapest option and probably the one that makes sense for you is to rebuild and hi flow your standard turbo. IF you get something larger you are going to have to spend big $$ on new rods, pistons,...
japanese cars tend to read higher than euro cars in my experience
get a tuner to fix it so its spot on ;)
on the brightside.....you wont get nabbed for speeding.
i think the dyno was smoking something
a reliable evo 8 with 300kw atw would cost $38K + $12K for mods in australia. (Add about 5-7 for suspension and brake mods)
Far less than what it would cost to get an mps or xr5 for that matter...
i swear u guys tuning in qld need a bloody wind tunnel :p
HOoray for front mount! I see on page two you replied that you are running lower boost. Good option!
now one thing, have you looked at this reduced flow to the radiator? What cooling additions...
a tune is a given....not even worth a mention
the standard fuel pump wont cope in the Mps?
the lack of room in there must be a pain in the arse.
Id be worried about pistons and rods if you are going to drive it high in the rev range all the time rather than use low torque. Why not get...
Ive just had a read
it amazes me how many people comment about tyres when they know nothing.
The basic premise for online tyre reviews (including this thread) are 10/10 or 1/10?!?!

Just though i would add,
I have done different dyno runs
and the best output ( with no pinging ) was v power racing ( discontinuned), bp ultimate, then shell v power....
your ecu will love you for using 98 ultimate
and im sure all the guys who tune their cars use nothing less.
that review is better served for the falcodore 6cyl sh1tboxes
to make it realistic, i put up $3000 to race around neutral ground. (im from syd)
sanddown.
i have fwd too so its even
*edit $10,000 (maybe not realistic, but if you're serious; I am happy...
eco friendly makes hoons cry.
get your car serviced before a run....maybe service it more regularly
some cars will lose power over time.
take it to a dyno that can replicate conditions accurately.
if your in syd try...
my car has been screwed since day one. Probably the worst paint in oz
the number plate would be better served on a veyron.
with these 10K worth of mods, what ET have you run?
Its the only way you can claim that you will leave an sti in the dust. Ive spent more than this (included an LSD for the xr5) and i can tell you...
i would take it all with a grain of salt.
Every dyno reads different. you should find a dyno operator you like. Run your car stock, then when you mod it, run it again.
some xr5's have put 100kw...
would love both our cars to have this.....:woot:
xr5 for mod winner........less mods more power, simple.
......and you dont need to wear thick gold chains and be a relative of vanilla gorilla to drive one.
Sti, diff story.....but...
