I'm afraid there is no cooling off period in WA.
Have a look here:

Looks easy as to me!
TIP = Turbo Inlet Pipe.
I would myself get mine fixed with new panels and would be happy if it were repaired to a high standard. To replace my MPS 6 now would not leave me felling too good - it is such a good car, and what...
I think he might have been unlucky.
I have an 07 built MPS and have had no real problems. I was told by a dealer that some exhibit a resonance or "rumble" at around 100Km/h and has proven to be...
If it is like a flat spot, it maybe a dirty MAF sensor. Worth a look?
If you car is still under warranty, I would try and claim.
Warranty covers faulty workmanship and maybe it was not assembled correctly. (Unless it has been in an front end collision before)
I don't have a dashhawk, but just a suggestion - if they're anything like my dashdyno, you may need to change it from metric to imperial units in a global config screen. Unfortunately on mine this...
Hi,
Thanks for the link.
I have been slowly adjusting them with the standback and have found that the knock retard under partial acceleration is much, much better. I am still trimming things a...
Cheers, thanks Chris that helps me heaps. I am going to try now and optimise my cruise trims before I start WOT tuning the Air/Fuel ratio.
Syd.
SB Map is zeroed out. Just running SB as a boost controller so far.
and... Yes, I must have been typing fast and not realised I said % instead of degrees.
I always run 98. I think the standback has modified the MAF sensor voltage and the ECU is correcting it, having to "richen" it up but is a little slow at times, thus causing an occasional knock.
...
Thanks for your thoughts guys.
I am totally stock except the standback at this stage. I have cleaned the MAF sensor and it made no difference.
Funny thing is, when I unplug the standback and use...
Anyone have an answer?
Does anyone know what Long Term and Short Term trims typically read?
Currently I have LTFT +9.4% and between 0 - 5% STFT when cruising.
How can these be adjusted with the Standback?
Also, some of them only cover an actual "Breakdown" of certain vehicle components. ie. engine and transmission, but not suspension or body.
I would like to see a new MPS6 as well.
Since buying my existing one in 07, I have looked at other options for when I need to replace it. In my opinion, there are very few cars that meet the same...
If it's anything like my Auterra DashDyno, it is in a low power mode checking for CAN bus activity every 10 seconds or so, and when it senses CAN bus activity, it will magically come to life by...
Thought about one of these? Auterra Dash Dyno
The SD card slot is really handy for long logging sessions.
I am not bagging - it is the truth, and the issue of the tire pressures were taken up with the dealer - no answers provided. The rotor issue is blatently unethical.
Hi Guys and Gals,
I recently had my much loved MPS6 in for it's 18 month service (My car has done 25K) at my dealer. During the day, I was called by the service manager who told me that they have...
I have also experienced knock retard values greater than 2 degrees.
What I have found is:
After maintaining a constant speed for a time (ie. 1 minute) at about 1900 rpm, apply a tiny bit more...
Likewise in my forties, I selected the MPS6 over others for this reason.
Welcome and enjoy your car!
