Yeah license saver pick here too ;)
Should be about a week away for the update, was a technical glitch getting ti to my dealer in time. Nothing too nasty.
Had mine booked in for today for the update but just received a call from local dealer saying that they couldn't run the update. Said they spoke to Mazda and now they have to wait for another version...
OK booked in for next Tuesday May 10. Had no issues with my dealer tech on this one, they knew about the update.
I will be hitting up my local dealer about the PCM update tomorrow. After driving at Easter this cruise control issue pissed me off no end.
Would of bought one if they came out 12months ago when I was in the market. I hoped and prayed they would bring them out but all the while they said they wouldn't bring them.
Glad I bought the MPS...
Thanks for this thread :)
I noticed this the other night when I had a WRX giving me some curry and when I looked in the rear view mirror while gunning it I shit myself at the black smoke coming...
I also found out the technique of 'dabbing' the throttle to wake up cruise control when it gets vague.
Still should not have to do this! it's a pain in the ass when it's obvious that something is...
I also get the cruise control problem, have not had it looked into yet. Service is due this month so I will mention it and see what happens.
That's the only problem I have - nearly 6000kms now.
I would of liked them to do a track test as well...shame :(
Fibreglass!! ouch heavy :(
Nsw :d
I have a 2000 model and every time I drive it I am stoked :D such a great car!!
Took it out in the wet today....ooohhhhyyyeeesss!!
Hi ManicMPS! you are def talkin my language ;) cheers!
Drove it in the wet today for the first time...
What a package :D very very impressed by this car in the wet. After hearing all the jibe about how torque steer is an issue...pfft!....whatever ;)
...
Yo! Newey driver here too! greets :)
oh...its a Top Gear Aust article...pfft!! like i would even read it...Thankfully the word Canberra was in the first sentence...saved me wasting my time.
New 09 3MPS - Total K's travelled so far 1900km.
Returned 10.2 L/100 mostly city driving
Returned 6.9L/100 Freeway/Highway incl. roadworks.
Reading from onboard 'puter.
Did a big long run today from Newcastle to Port Macquarie. Fuel economy is brilliant for a car like this!! 7.1L/100km :D
But found a problem when descending down a long hill. the cruise control...
2009 3 MPS
Descending on big hills cruise control drops out. Have only just noticed today as it was my first big drive. Will have to chase up dealer next week about it.
Bizarre but interesting. Pretty much what I would have expected from the Hundi...it takes a lot of experience to build character in a car that matches its looks...
I my gawd...
I don't rate Top Gear Australia at all....so it does not matter what dribble comes out of their stoopid mouths :|
hmmm...bit of a worry about Regal Motors in Newey...thats where I usually go.
God I hate taking my car to any dealer these days....more of them are crap than good I have found over the years :(
...
thats what made me wee....when i saw the tacky LED day-lights stuck on the front like they are from super-cheap.
i call them gay-lights :D
