They're both pretty viable mods, I'm assuming you have an HPFP of course. Engine mounts would be easy and a good idea. Diff mounts and suspension if you wanted to keep going :P
Very nice, my previous car was a 2007 Mazda 3 diesel and always wanted to get it tuned back then. Nice to see there's stuff for the Skyactiv-D.
One thing to try which worked for me is the bnoon banjo bolt (Or any smaller sized oil feed banjo bolt). Mine started smoking at 100,000km but the smaller oil feed stopped it until 135,000kms. If you...
The o2 sensors I have also heard do tend to have issues removing from the dump pipe
Nah, the CEL is only there due to an error code for no EGR voltage or something similar
At 100k kms you'd wanna make sure the VVT has been serviced (Recommended at 100k anyway, mine is a 6 but was stretched and noisy). You might be able to hear it on startup as a rattle fyi
They are a bit of a pain to drive compared to other manuals. Dual mass flywheel in a heavy AWD doesn't help really. I also find you need some revs to take off smoothly, but yeah engine mounts are...
The banjo bolt completely fixed my exhaust smoke, had it for over a year now. But I still have a stock exhaust system.
We have a WA MPS Collective group on Facebook if you want to ask on there. Couple of guys from Mazda on the page too. Maybe some kind of problem with the tune ?
Ouch, that mount is actually so easy to replace too
Engine noise is decent increase true, I normally have music up often anyway haha :)
In my opinion the vibrations were nowhere near as bad as I was expecting from the people on forums but that's entirely up to you, I have JBR 70a mounts like this...
Formaz (or similar name) seem to consistently have MPS parts there - try them :)Maybe try talk her down due to the costs involved - battery and rear shocks & brakes aren't cheap. But I'm in WA, got...
Ah yeah meant to say swaybar with the mounts. For now just gonna get intake and catback, then next stage will be eTune, DP and HPFP after I do my mounts and servicing
Hi All
Got my 6MPS last Wednesday, no pics as of yet but thought I'd introduce myself to the forum, firstly plan to do engine and diff mounts to be on top of any wear and tear, anything else you...
