Welcome to the forum! That's a nice
Looking '6 mate.
Tell us about your engine rebuild. What are you plans for it?

Thanks for that info. Got a PM from them and they only do a system for the Gen 2. I've got a Gen 1.
I currently have a custom made exhaust that sounds great but it drones in the cabin quite a...
18 x 9 +45 will give you 18mm less inner clearance than the std Gen 1 wheels. Or 8mm less inner clearance than my RX8 wheels. Would not work with my BC coilovers that's for sure. You'd have some more...
These wheels on Justin's Gen 2 are actually 18 x 9.5 +38. Definately aggressive fitment.
The one thing to watch with a 8.5 rim and a high offset like +45 or +48 is inner clearance; particularly...
I've been real happy with Yoko S Drives (as has 2 other MPS drivers here in Cairns). But with difficulties importing from USA will think other options come replacement time; they're so expensive...
If you're keen on an aggressive look, you'll need to lower your car. Low offset/wide wheels on std suspension looks wrong.
What have you got exhaust wise for an MPS?
You'd better turbo it up if you're sick of looking at the hatch end of an MPS!
Welcome to the club Abe!
Hope you really enjoy your new MPS. Let the mods begin..
Oh, and post some pics for us.

Gen 1 FTW!
Yep! 527's. And I agree. The Rota G force also look great with a 9" and 30 offset. Anything lower has less dish and looses the look.
Hey Bakis. Reading thought the wheel threads; you and I share a liking for similar wheel stances! Like Chris said; you need that 45 offset for the 235 tyres on an 8" rim. My thoughts on rims seem to...
Welcome aboard mate. Post some pics of your new ride.. Then let the mods begin!

This is interesting. I have a custom CBE. Noticeable performance increase. Would a DP only give a similar performance increase? Something for the OP to consider.
True: my RX8 rims (18x8 +50) give similar clearance and less than a pinky finger clearance to the BC coilovers. I dare only run 225/40 at the front because of that. And viewed from the front the car...
Doug, my Gen 1 MPS is over 5 years old, nearing 100k km and never needs oil top ups between services (I change oil every 5,000km).
2 litres down is not a good thing. I'd definitely be hounding...
I'm going to assume not. I recognised her from somewhere... Then I remembered she preferred Lambo's..

Thanks for the tips Doug. I'll know better next time. I just followed your tips and have it a precautionary wash down. But it all looks sweet under the bonnet.
Once replaced, I cleaned the muck off with some BBQ decreaser, a tooth brush and a hose. In 5 minutes it was as good as new.
Looks like you've ruptured your driver's side engine mount. I did this about 6 months ago. A very common thing to do on a Gen1 3 MPS. Leaves a brown muddy-like fluid all over the place. Comes off...
Have I got a link said universal piping eBay kit? And if it's universal, how did u get it to fit your 6 so well?
I totally agree with you. I paid $840 delivered for a set of S-Drives from Tire Rack. $250 of that was shipping costs. If you think I'm gonna pay over double that for the same tyres here in Oz you're...
